ABC Motsepe League | October 2026
Mangaung Unite FC came away with a share of the points after a hard-fought goalless draw against Welkom Real Stars FC in the ABC Motsepe League. Neither side could find the breakthrough across the ninety minutes, with a disciplined defensive showing from Rengapela Ko Pele earning them a clean sheet on the road. It was a tight, cagey contest in which chances were at a premium and both teams had to settle for a point apiece. For Mangaung Unite, a shut-out away from home is a solid platform to build on.
A Stalemate At Both Ends
There was little to separate the two sides, with the defences on top throughout. Mangaung Unite kept their shape and resolve to deny Welkom Real Stars any clear opening, while the hosts’ own back line held firm at the other end. The result was a goalless draw that reflected an evenly matched afternoon where neither attack could find the decisive moment.
A Point On The Road
Away points are never to be sniffed at in a tight league, and keeping a clean sheet is exactly the kind of foundation that keeps a season on track. Mangaung Unite will take real encouragement from their defensive discipline, even if they will know chances to win it may have gone begging. Avoiding defeat on the road is a habit worth having.
